Hello, Queens. I hope you’ve entered the new year in all of the ways you had hoped. Some of you were ready to glide into 2025, others wanted to kick that door open and still others are savoring 2024 and easing into the new year extra slowly. You can and should do you! I ended the year with a spa day with a great sistah friend and then rang in the new year with my parents, my two fave people. Now, I sit here in the quiet of the room I booked at a lodge to do some reflection and writing for my PSP and to think about what I have in store for all of you with the Queen Code this year.

Two days into 2025 and I still haven’t finished my personal strategic plan (PSP). Gasp! Oh, the horror! She wrote a book about it and isn’t even following her own rules! Gentle reminder of what I wrote on page 11 of the book, “You can live by The Queen Code or you can make your own. My goal with this book is not to create a model you must use, but a movement of support…” Elsewhere in the book, I also remind you that your PSP is a living document that evolves with you. I’m in that evolution stage where my goals will stay largely the same, but I’m adjusting my strategic actions. And, the book is also a tool I use. Not just a book I happened to write. In fact, I spent the past few days re-reading my own book to inform how I wanted to approach my 2025 PSP and finished it here at the lodge tonight.
Still others are using my original model of the goal squares and I’m here for it. Five year old Savannah and her mother (Adrienne) used the goal squares on NYE to set their goals for the year and sent me pics. Here are Savannah’s goals (on the left in pink): read a whole book by myself, save $100, learn to tie my shoes, learn to throw a softball, pray every night, learn to ride my 2-wheel scooter, learn to catch a softball, and read 100 books (with her mom). She used 8 squares inside of my 32 square OG model, but she is doing this at the age of 5!

While the PSP isn’t a magic bullet, exercising intentionality and planning helps. I’m seeing my own growth on my health journey and have heard from others about their growth whether it’s their finances, careers or relationships.
Part of my growth is also related to the Queen Code, so in 2025, you can expect a few things from me. Hit the subscribe button below to keep up with me!
Continuing to offer quarterly virtual Queen Codes.
More blogs posts…I promise.
At least one new Queen Code Guide. Topic to be decided, but at least two are already in motion.
My song to drop. Lyrics on pages 14-15 of the book.
And, my first play to go live in December 2025.
I am grateful for my experiences in 2024, some meant to uplift and still some meant to hone. I look forward to pushing forward in my purpose and alongside all of you in 2025.
Crowns up!
